Professor Robert Winston

Professor Robert Winston will give this year’s Lichfield Lecture.

Actress Dame Harriet Walker had been due to give the talk, but filming commitments meant she had to withdraw from the Lichfield Festival event.

But now Lichfield Cathedral will welcome scientist, doctor and TV presenter Prof Winston on July 9.

A spokesperson said: “He will speak about the interaction between the arts and science.”
