A REPORT has recommended plans for 200 new homes on land in Lichfield are approved.

Developers are hoping to get planning permission for the latest phase of the site off Burton Road.

The application has been called in by Cllr Richard Holland over concerns that the proposed access point at Morgan Mews was “completely inappropriate”.

But a report to the council’s planning committee has recommended approval.

It said:

> “The means of access has been established through the outline consent, where Staffordshire County Council as the local highway authority ultimately raised no objection with he proposed access strategy to utilise a connection from Morgan Mews as the primary vehicular access with an emergency access from Osprey Street.”

The development will be debated by councillors at the planning committee meeting on Monday (21st July).
