A number of jobs could be at risk at the Lichfield Mercury newspaper.

[A report from industry news site Holdthefrontpage](https://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2018/news/award-winning-editor-to-step-down-after-trinity-mirror-cuts-announced/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) says 19 editorial roles at the Tamworth centre – where the Mercury is produced – are at risk as part of a move to cut 49 editorial brands across the Trinity Mirror network.

The move follows a decision to consume the newspaper’s website into the Birmingham Mail’s rebranded Birmingham Live online site.
