People living in Lichfield and Burntwood are being asked to make sure details on the electoral register are correct.

A form has gone out to households from Lichfield District Council asking residents to ensure the correct information about who is living at an address is supplied.

The register ensures those who are eligible to vote in future elections can do so.

Diane Tilley, electoral registration officer, said: “It’s important that you respond to your household enquiry form when you receive it.

“Please remember that responding to it is not the same as registering to vote and, if anyone is not registered at your household, they will need to register individually. All of the information is available on the form, so simply follow the steps to make sure you secure your vote.”

Forms must be completed by September 1.
