# Rugby club hands over donation to St Giles Hospice

BURNTWOOD Rugby Club has handed over a donation to St Giles Hospice.

Club president Rob Forsyth handed over a cheque for £2,276 to the Whittington-based charity.

A spokesperson said:

> “The hospice was the club’s nominated charity for 2023-24.

> “The club is proud to have made a contribution based around the March Of the Elephants project which saw Elwood taking part in the art trail during the summer.

> “Many thanks to our members and supporters for making donations, and also to our sponsors including The Vintage Liquid Taphouse and The Nelson Inn where a raffle was organised which contributed £1,000 to the overall total.”
