A running group in Lichfield has boosted stocks at Lichfield Foodbank.

The WIP Running Club handed over almost 200kg of donations.

The collection was part of a national initiative designed to see runners support local food banks.

It comes after Lichfield Foodbank was forced to make an urgent appeal for donations after [reporting a “surge” in demand](https://lichfieldlive.co.uk/urgent-appeal-launched-after-surge-in-demand-leaves-lichfield-foodbank-short-of-supplies/) from people in need of help.
