Santa and his elf are helped off their boat

Flights may have been grounded by the bad weather, but a sailing club near Lichfield found an unusual way to help Santa make his early deliveries.

Father Christmas and his hard-working elf used a boat to pay a flying visit to [Manor Park Sailing Club](http://www.manorparksc.co.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

The Kings Bromley-based club created a path through the ice to make sure Santa was able to attend a Christmas party for children on Saturday (December 18).
