# Seven wicket win keeps Lichfield CC top of the table

Lichfield remain at the top of the Staffordshire Club Cricket Championship with a seven wicket win over Old Wulfrunians.

Jack Warren was instrumental with the ball as he claimed 3-23 as the hosts managed 142-8 off their 50 overs.

Lichfield’s reply with the bat was emphatic as openers Dean Price and (75) and Stuart Fielding (34) put on 109 for the first wicket, before their side cruised over the line in just 20.2 overs.

Hawkins are second after securing a winning draw against Whittington, while Hammerwich are third after a nine-wicket triumph over Cannock & Rugeley.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Wightwick & Finchfield remain rooted to the bottom of the table after defeat against Swindon, while Beacon secured a seven-wicket victory at Wednesbury.

The day’s other top flight fixture saw Aldridge net an 11 run win over Pelsall.
