Lichfield Lighthouse Company

The Lichfield Lighthouse Company were midway through their set at the Guildhall when a power cut struck following [a fire at an electrical substation in the city](//lichfieldlive.co.uk/2015/12/03/homes-in-lichfield-without-power-after-large-fire-at-electricity-substation-on-eastern-avenue/).

But as emergency lighting kicked in, the songs kept coming.

Lichfield Arts president Brian Pretty said: “They carried on with their shanties regardless – they deserve an award for their efforts!”
