Assistant Chief Officer John Bloomer said a settlement had been agreed via mutual agreement:

> "We are pleased to have reached an agreement with UNISON following positive and constructive discussions.
>
> "PCSOs are a valued part of our policing family, and this outcome reflects our shared commitment to supporting our workforce while ensuring we continue to deliver the highest standard of service to our communities."

As part of the agreement, both parties have committed to ongoing engagement to maintain positive employee relations in the future.

The changes to PCSO working hours have been in place since 1st June 2026 and will not be altered as part of the agreement.
