LICHFIELD students have been celebrating success after helping a Staffordshire Schools under-16 team lift the league title.

The squad sealed success courtesy of a 2-0 win on the road against Shropshire.

The team is made up of local players, including representatives from King Edward VI School, Nether Stowe School and The Friary School.

It is a second season of success for the youngsters as they also claimed the under-15 title last season.
