# Teenager injured in Burntwood road accident

A teenage girl has been injured after being hit by a car in Burntwood.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to St Matthews Road shortly before 10pm last night (February 7).

An incident support officer in a rapid response vehicle and two ambulance crews attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:

> “Crews arrived to find a girl who had been involved in a collision with a car. She had a serious thigh injury. She was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and was given pain relief at the scene.

> “She was then taken to Good Hope Hospital for further assessment and treatment. The occupants of the car were checked over at the scene and did not require further treatment.”
