TEVYN Walcott produced a fine knock of 92 to help Alrewas to a 36-run victory at Duffield.

The Herons opted to bat first, but suffered an early blow when Gareth Woolley was removed after scoring just four.

Dan Spiers was next to go as he was dismissed for nine to leave the visitors on 41-2, with James Burton (36) following with the scoreboard on 64.

But a fine knock of 92 off 89 balls by Tevyn Walcott helped get the score back on track as the Herons eventually reached 260 before being skittled out.

Duffield's response got off to a slow start as they soon found themselves on 18-2.

A half-century from Tim Williscroft got his side back into it as the middle order pushed the score along to 170-5.

But they could only reach 224-7 from the 50 overs to hand Alrewas victory.
