# Theatre company preparing to bring Blackadder II production to the stage in Shenstone

FINAL preparations are taking place ahead of a theatre production of Blackadder II in Shenstone.

From The Top Theatre Company will bring the show to the Village Hall from 2nd to 5th September.

The script is an adaptation of the classic TV series and has been put together by Elliot Beech and David Crump, who will also direct the production.

Elliot said:

> "The show is a blend of the episodes Bells, Money, Beer and Potato and sees Edmund Blackadder in trouble as he owes a fortune to a murderous bishop, has somehow fallen for his curiously attractive new servant, Bob, and must somehow survive the whims of a slightly homicidal Queen Elizabeth and her gloriously incompetent court.

> "With his neck on the line, Blackadder and his loyal but idiotic friends Baldrick and Lord Percy Percy devise the most cunning plan yet."
