# Theme park near Lichfield granted wedding licence

Couples can now get married at a theme park near Lichfield after it was granted a licence to hold civil ceremonies.

Wedding ceremonies can now take place in Drayton Manor Theme Park’s Tower and Hamilton Suites.

The granting of the civil ceremony licence comes as the park prepares for the grand opening of its 150-room hotel on August 15.

Hospitality manager Jo Arrowsmith said:

> “For decades Drayton Manor has been a popular venue for wedding parties and celebrations. But the combination of having a wedding licence, hotel, hospitality suites, as well as on-site catering, will make Drayton Manor the ideal venue for any couple looking to tie the knot.

> “The park also provides a fantastic setting for wedding pictures, whether it’s against a stunning woodland backdrop, or on the carousel.”
