Lichfield City FC collected a third straight defeat after being beaten 2-0 by high-flying Hinckley.

Boss Gary Birch made changes to his starting line-up, but failed to reverse his side’s recent slump.

City started brightly and had appeals for a penalty turned down after Kyle Minto went down in the area.

And they were left to rue that decision further just after the half-hour mark when Nathan Walker curled an effort into the top corner.

The heavy pitch meant chances were at a premium and Hinckley wrapped up the points with 20 minutes remaining as Marco Adaggio found the net.
