LICHFIELD City Women will look to close in on the title when they play their final home league game of the campaign this weekend.

The Trade Tyre Community Stadium side sit top of the West Midlands Women’s League Division One North, eight points ahead of second-placed Walsall.

The Saddlers have two games in hand on City, with a fixture between both clubs still to come on the final day of the season.

Lichfield can keep up the pressure on the chasing Saddlers if they get the better of AFC Telford United this afternoon (29th March).

The visitors have had a season of struggle so far and find themselves one place off the foot of the table with just three wins from their 11 games.

Kick-off at the Trade Tyre Community Stadium is at 3pm.
