Todd Perry

Lichfield City FC’s backroom team has been given a reshuffle ahead of the new season.

Simon Bell has left the coaching staff due to work commitments, with manager Paul Holt appointing defender Todd Perry as player-coach.

The City boss said: “Simon was great for us last season and played massive part in us turning the corner after an indifferent start.

“The appointment of Todd has softened the blow of losing Simon as he brings a wealth of experience, not only as a player but his leadership skills are exceptional and he also has the full respect of the players.”

Perry will also continue as club captain for the Midland Combination Premier Division side.
