Lichfield passengers are facing an evening of delays after disruption on the cross city line.

Services to and from Lichfield City and Lichfield Trent Valley have suffered delays or cancellation.

A statement from train operator London Midland said: “Due to the electricity being switched off for safety reasons, train services running between Lichfield Trent Valley and Birmingham New Street may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

“Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”
