# Tributes paid to Burntwood speedway promoter

Tributes have been paid to a Burntwood man who has died from a suspected heart attack.

John Woolridge, who was the co-promoter of the Stoke Eazy Riders Potters speedway team, died at his home on Monday 27).

Co-promoter, Dave Tattum, [told thisisstaffordshire](http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Speedway-Tributes-paid-Potter-Woolridge/story-12849258-detail/story.html?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk):

> “It is a huge loss to the sport, not only to our club, and I am sure all the Elite League teams will join in the tributes.

> “I’m sure we’ll work with his family to organise some kind of annual John Woolridge memorial event.”

His funeral will take place at Streetly Crematorium on July 8 at 11.30am.
