Adam Hart-Davis with representatives from Erasmus Darwin House

TV historian Adam Hart-Davis has visited a Lichfield museum which pays tribute to one of his heroes.

The broadcaster has been a been a patron of Erasmus Darwin House since 2006 and dropped in on Saturday as part of a visit to speak at the Lichfield Literature festival.

Alison Wallis, manager of the museum, said: “Adam was curious to know all about the museum and how it has changed and developed since his last visit 14 years ago when he filmed for the video currently playing in our library.

“He was charming and intelligent, and clearly excited about the House and the great man himself.”
