Violinist Rachel Podger will make a welcome return to the Lichfield Festival for a late night performance.

After a memorable concert at last year’s event, the founder of the Brecon Baroque Festival will perform at Lichfield Cathedral on 11th July.

A spokesperson said:

> “In a glittering career, Rachel has established herself as a leading interpreter of the baroque and classical music periods.

> “Her solo programme is taken from her new album featuring preludes, dances, and fugal movements for solo violin from the 17th and 18th centuries.”
