POLICE are warning residents to be vigilant after two men attempted to enter a house in Burntwood.

The incident, which is believed to be related to an attempted theft, happened on Ogley Hay Road at around 3.30pm on Christmas Eve.

Officers say a man aged between 30 and 40 had asked to enter the house with another man after pretending to be ill.

The second individual was driving a white Ford Transit van and wearing a white jacket.
