A NEW managerial era will begin at Chasetown weekend – but the new boss will take a watching brief.

Carl Dickinson has been named at the helm of the Scholars following the resignation of Jamie Hawkins.

But the club has confirm former players John Birt and Chris Slater will take the team for their final home game of the season tomorrow (18th April) against Congleton Town.

Chasetown currently sit tenth in the table, but could end as high as eighth if they win their remaining two fixtures.

Kick-off at The Scholars Ground is at 3pm.

Meanwhile, the club has also confirmed plans for a coach to the Walsall Senior Cup final clash with Stafford Rangers on 12th May.

Tickets for the travel to and from the game are £15 and must be booked by 8th May.
