SNOWFALL and icy conditions saw a number of local sports fixtures fall foul of the weather.

Both Burntwood and Lichfield saw their rugby action cancelled over weekend.

Football games were also off as Chasetown Women missed out on the chance to take on Albrighton after a postponement.

Lichfield City Ladies suffered the same fate with their clash with Eccleshall also falling foul of the conditions.

But the Trade Tyre Community Stadium side have welcomed a new face to the squad after completing the signing of Jodie Jones from league rivals Walsall Wood.
