# Wet weather sees cancellation of family fun day and dog show event in Lichfield

A COMMUNITY event in Lichfield has been postponed due to the wet weather.

A dog show and fun day run by the Lichfield Bower had been scheduled to take place tomorrow (30th August).

But organisers have now confirmed it will not go ahead.

A spokesperson said:

> "Rain is forecast for most of the day today and starting shortly after we were due to open tomorrow – and we are pretty sure no one really wants soggy dogs or drenched kids.

> "The cheque presentation for the charities that helped collect money on Bower day will still go ahead, but it will now be in the club room."
