# What’s on at the Lichfield Festival – July 12

Peter Snow

Peter Snow will be talking about his book at the latest Lichfield Festival author talk.

The George Hotel will host the acclaimed broadcaster at 10.30am.

A spokesperson said:

> “Peter Snow needs little introduction, from his days showing us the election Swingometer, and his long stint on BBC’s flagship news programme, Newsnight.

> “His latest book takes his readers From The Peninsula To Waterloo with an accurate account of the lives that the Duke and his men led, based on painstaking research through the diaries and journals of the times.”

Lichfield Cathedral will host Monteverdi’s Flying Circus at 7.30pm, while the Crooked Fiddle Band will be on stage at the Garrick Studio at 8pm.

Earlier in the day, Morgan Szymanski will perform in Lichfield Cathedral’s Lady Chapel at noon.

And there will be more musical treats on offer when the Charlotte Glasson Band perform at the George IV.

Pig Tales continues for two to six-year-olds at Erasmus Darwin House. The same venue will also host junior journalist workshops at 12.30pm and 2pm.

Acclaimed performers the Penguin Cafe will bring their unique sound to the Lichfield Garrick at 8pm, while people will detective when they begin the hunt for Trevor, the Festival’s pig.

Every day the decorated statue will be in a different location across the city. The first person to spot him and report back to [education@lichfieldfestival.org](mailto:education@lichfieldfestival.org) will win two tickets to a Lichfield Festival event.
