A LOCAL garden is throwing open its gates to support a local organisation.

Located at the Crossroads on Huddlesford Lane in Whittington, it features an acre and a half of wildlife-friendly perennial meadows, a pond, orchard and a small copse of horse chestnut and pine trees.

The event, which takes place from 11am to 5pm on 20th June, is in aid of Whittington and Fisherwick Environment Group.

A spokesperson said:

> "The meadow, orchard, pond and copse are complemented by a traditional flower garden with roses and flower borders.

> "The entrance to the house and garden is on Huddlesford Lane. Parking should be possible on Back Lane or Chapel Lane just a few yards away, but visitors are encouraged to come on foot, bike or public transport wherever possible.

> "While wheelchair users are welcome please note that the paths are rather uneven and access to some areas may be difficult."
