# Whittington session offers chance to learn life-saving skills

A CHANCE to learn life-saving skills will be on offer at a session in Whittington.

The village's WI group will host the event at the Village Hall at 7.30pm on 9th September.

A spokesperson said:

> "We welcome people to a friendly and practical session on how ordinary bystanders can help save lives by learning simple resuscitation skills and gaining the confidence to act in an emergency.

> "This session supports the WI campaign to increase public confidence in CPR and help more bystanders become life-savers.

> "Everyone is very welcome to come along, whether you are completely new to CPR or simply want a refresher. There will be a small charge for refreshments.  
>  
> "We hope to see everyone there – members or non-members – as actions could one day save someone’s life."
