WHITTINGTON’S poor run of form continued with an eight wicket defeat at Fordhouses 2nds.

The visitors opted to bat first after winning the toss, but saw early wickets leave them wobbling on 22-3.

But knocks of 67 and 90 for Martin Weston and Ethan Kelly respectively helped rescue the innings as they eventually completed their 50 overs on 256-9.

The early wicket of Jack Finlan when he was caught by Sameer Hussain off the bowling of Lochie Waller gave Whittington hope.

However, centuries from Rizwan Bukhara and Syed Tahir ensured Fordhouses passed the target with just two wickets lost inside 33 overs.
