Whittington Vets came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win over Melchester Rovers.

The home side fell behind after a quick counter attack.

But Whittington hit back when player-manager Andy Gill fired home a free-kick on the stroke of half time.

And the hosts had the better of the second half, culminating in a winning goal when Phil Joyce headed home a Graham Heanan cross.

Elswhere, the Vets’ A team went down 6-1 against COB Sports Vets.
