Hammerwich CC got their 2013 season off to a winning start with a four wicket win over Wednesbury.

Lichfield also made a triumphant start to the Staffordshire Club Cricket Premier Division campaign by beating Pelsall by four wickets.

Elsewhere, Whittington bagged a winning draw over Swindon, while Old Wulfrunians won at Wightwick & Finchfield.

The day’s other results saw Hawikins Sports beat Beacon and Aldridge secure a winning draw against Cannock & Rugeley.
