# Woman dies in Burntwood car crash

A woman has died after the car she was driving crashed in Burntwood.

The car collided with a lamppost and a brick wall in Travellers Close at about 11.40pm last night (Tuesday).

An ambulance and an incident support officer were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:

> “When crews arrived they found a car on its side with the woman trapped. Ambulance staff worked with fire crews to free her but sadly it was not possible to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
