# Woman’s handbag snatched in Whittington street robbery

A woman has been robbed in the street in Whittington.

Police say she was walking down Common Lane on Wednesday (September 3) when she was approached by a man who grabbed her small black handbag and ran off towards Whittington Primary School.

The man was black and wearing dark clothing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or can give any information, is asked to contact DC Jamie Harris at Burton CID, on 101, quoting incident 369 of 3 September. Alternatively, anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
