Plans are already being put in place for the Huddlesford Heritage Gathering in September.
The biennial event, jointly organised by Lichfield Cruising Club and Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust, sees boats, floating traders and classic cars on show.
But this year’s gathering will also see activities on offer from Emma’s Crafty Kids to the free entertainment on offer.
Youngsters will be able to make badges and masks as well as enjoying outdoor games and workshops at the event, which takes place on September 19 and 20.
A spokesman said: “The inclusion of Emma’s Crafty Kids on the bill has been made possible by a grant from Lichfield District Council’s Small Grants Fund, which encourages not-for-profit organisations to deliver a range of local community services.”
