An exhibition of photographs taken by the late Earl of Lichfield is to be unveiled as part of the Shugborough Revisited project.
Joanna Lumley, Mick Jagger, Olivia Newton-John, Princess Margaret and Princess Anne are among 20 images going on display as part of the Lichfield’s Shugborough event. Many of the pictures, which were taken over a span of fifty years, have never been seen before.
The Shugborough Revisited project will see the refurnished private apartments of Lord Lichfield open to the public for the first time, as well as giving access to his private island arboretum.
Staffordshire County Councillor Pat Corfield, said:
“This exhibition firmly places Shugborough as a cultural landmark within the region. Patrick Lichfield’s work is known and loved around the globe and these images taken around his home give a real insight into his love for the estate.”
The exhibition and the private apartments are open to the public from March 18. To find out more about the Shugborough Revisited project visit www.shugboroughrevisited.com.
