Olympian Roger Black MBE has lent his support to the Lichfield Dash.

The event, which is being sponsored by Fradley-based salad firm Florette, takes place on June 30 and sees athletes bidding to beat the chimes as they race around the Cathedral.
This year will also see the Olympic torch pass through the city on the same day so it was fitting that the legendary 400m star was the man to launch the Dash.
Neil Sanderson, Florette managing director, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Roger this summer. It is great news that he is able to pledge his support to this fantastic event and the local community.”

Roger Black is also supporting the Fradley firm’s summer campaign, Bags of Feelgood, and announced the launch of a special competition for one young Midlands sporting star to win a sports mentoring session with him later in the summer.
Details of Florette’s competition to win a mentoring session with Roger Black will be available on www.Facebook.com/FloretteUK.
