Plans to extend the trenches at the Staffordshire Regimental Museum have been given the go-ahead.

The Whittington venue also hopes to improve disabled access and viewing facilities of the popular tourist attraction.

The original trench complex was built in 2000 and will also be refurbished after Lichfield District Council planners approved the scheme.

Full details of the project can be seen via the council’s planning website.
