Lichfield Nomads were beaten in a tight contest against Gent Arcadians.

Nomads batted first with captain Keith Stanley giving those, who missed the first game a chance at the crease.

Regular opener P Gardner was again bowled out cheaply. In contrast to the form he showed earlier on this season.

However, when star batsman D Brannigan got to the crease things began to change for Lichfield.

He got a quick 40 runs before being caught on the boundary.

Lichfield were all out for a score of 117.

Bowlers Heslington and J Hoody opened the bowling taking four wickets early on.

With the score at 54-7, it looked as though Nomads might be in with a chance of victory.

But Arcadians held on to get the win.
