Prospective candidates are being invited to throw their hat into the ring to become a new councillor for the Stowe ward on Lichfield District Council and Lichfield City Council.
A by-election will take place on February 22 if the votes are contested.

The seats have become vacant after the resignation of Conservative member David Smedley.
Prospective candidates have until January 26 to complete and return their nomination papers.
For more details on the application process visit www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/upcomingelections.
A vote will also take place on the same day for the Lichfield City Neighbourhood Plan, while a similar ballot will take place in Whittington and Fisherwick.
If adopted, the plans will form part of Lichfield District Council’s Local Plan, which helps the local authority to determine planning applications and future development.
