A service has taken place at Lichfield Cathedral to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
A beacon was lit as part of the nationwide celebrations, while a bugler and bagpipe player also performed.
The specially-commissioned Song of the Commonwealth – written and composed by Lucy Keily from Australia and Vincent Atueyi Chinemelu from Nigeria – was performed by Lichfield Cathedral Jubilee Choir.
Prayers were led by the Bishop of Lichfield as part of the service in front of the cathedral, which also saw the crowds in The Close joining a singalong of God Save The Queen.
