LICHFIELD’S MP has used his Christmas message to raise the “strength, compassion and generosity” of local communities.

Dave Robertson also spoke of the work carried out by members of the emergency services over the festive period.

The Labour MP said:

“It is wonderful to be able to share my first Christmas message as your MP.

“I must start by wishing everyone in Lichfield, Burntwood and the villages an enormous Merry Christmas.

“I always enjoy getting to 25th December, because it’s a time for family, it’s a time for friends, it’s a time to celebrate, it’s a time for peace, it’s a time for relaxation and I really hope that everybody enjoys that this year.

“But I also think it’s really important that we say thank you to all those in the public services; including the police, the NHS, the fire service and dozens more who will be working to keep us all safe this Christmas.

“Of course, we must never forget those people in the armed services who are serving overseas to keep us safe.

“This year has been a year of change for our community across Lichfield, Burntwood and the villages, but one thing that will never change is the strength, compassion and generosity of our friends, families and neighbours right across our area.

“I’m really looking forward to continuing to meet as many people as I can next year and continuing to see all the wonderful things that are happening across the city, town and villages.

“Until then, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

People complaining about the choice they made have short and selective memories.
You can either afford the winter fuel allowance or Brexit. You can’t have both.
Either accept the consequences of your actions or campaign to reverse the sanctions we imposed on ourselves and our children.

His Christmas message should be “and you thought the last guy was useless!”

Great sentiment from our MP
Pity his Leader, Starmer and his Cabinet have not shown “compassion and generosity “ to our old age pensioners.
And of course he voted with them so he is a hypocrite.

Excuse me Mr Robertson you are a complete hypocrite. You follow Starmer like a lamb. You are a guy who’s lost the way and you’ve completely forgotten the type of constitute you represent. Pensioners are desperate, farmers are desperate, small businesses are desperate, everybody is desperate because of rising prices caused by Reeds budget, Good luck to your and your fast decreasing band of followers.

If anyone asked me 6 months ago that the Liberal lichfield left would abandoned the work class and pensioners my answer would be no way. Remember covid time every post was wear a mask , don’t go to the park and meet a friend, protect the elderly. Today they couldn’t care about the elderly and definitely the work class who they see right wing , sometimes far right. Labour has blatantly shown that there is two tier justice. When Labour got in at the GE I thought it would be 10 years now i think it’s just one term. 15,000 people have join reform party in the last 4 days and has just overtook the tories. Why on earth does Professor Pineapple wants to go back into Failed EU state God only knows.
