DARTS players could get the chance to take on others from across the country in a national challenge.
Marston’s has launched the Cool Hand Cup in partnership with professional star Luke Humphries.
It will see players invited to take on a timed “around the clock challenge” to be in with a chance of winning £5,000 and a place in the grand final.
More than 190 pubs across the country are taking part, including Lichfield venues the Queens Head, the Kings Head, The Turnpike, as well as the Railway Inn in Shenstone. Burntwood bars taking place include the Wych Elm and The Crown.
Neil Campbell, chief operating officer at Marston’s, said:
“We’ve seen the popularity of darts skyrocket in the last year, with new and exciting breakthrough players and the return of Bullseye.
“Dart boards are at the heart of so many of our pubs across the UK and we’re so excited to team up with Luke Humphries to give our guests an even bigger reason to visit and try their hand at winning.”
The competition will launch on 3rd February and run until 13th March. Participants have to hit numbers one to 20 and finish with a bullseye as quickly as possible.
The top two players from the West Midlands leaderboard will compete in a grand final where the overall winner will take on Luke in the final.
