COUNCIL chiefs are trying to trace the owner of two dogs found tied up in extreme heat in Burntwood.
Environmental health officers from Lichfield District Council found a German Shepherd and a Pointer-type chained up on the roadside at Wharf Lane on Thursday (19th June).
A Lichfield District Council spokesperson said:
“With no identifiable owner present, our animal welfare officers were left with no choice but to seize the dogs for their safety. They are now being cared for at the council’s kennels.
“We’re urgently appealing for information to help identify the person responsible.”
