YOUNGSTERS are being urged to stay active during the school holidays with a range of free activities.
Lichfield District Council’s Active Lichfield Communities team will host activities including soft archery, football, rounders, street dance, skateboarding, cricket, rock climbing and netball.
Suitable for seven to 19-year-olds, the sessions are delivered by qualified coaches and will be on offer between 21st July and 29th August.
Cllr Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for leisure and major projects, said:
“The summer activity programme has been specially designed to keep young people entertained and encourage them to be more active, more often and for longer.
“Taking place at venues across Lichfield district, there are a lot of activities on offer and we hope many young people will come along, participate and possibly try out a sport for the first time.”
