CHASETOWN recorded yet another pre-season win as they beat Belper Town 4-1.

The Scholars went in front after half-an-hour when Joe Thompson found the bottom corner with a neat finish.

But Belper levelled soon after when a trialist powered home.

Chasetown’s advantage was restored moments before the break when Ty Webster went through one on one and got the better of visiting keeper Kieran Preston.

The Scholars left it late to add further to their tally, as summer signing Matt Funge netted with two minutes to play – and there was still time for Mitchell Clarke to add a fourth in the dying moments.
