A LOCAL bus operator says it is rolling out improved services across the area.
Chaserider Buses say the changes to timetables will improve connectivity for passengers.
Among the changes are a new off-peak Monday to Saturday 61 service from Burntwood to Lichfield, stopping at Chase Terrace and Boney Hay.
The route will serve Morrisons in Burntwood, with an amendment to the 62 link between Lichfield, Burntwood and Cannock.
It comes after the company recently added Monday to Saturday evening journeys on the number 60 between Lichfield and Burntwood, as well as extra services on the 828 between Lichfield and Stafford.
Kallum Crawford, local operations manager at Chaserider Buses, said:
“We’re making bus travel even more popular – the introduction of service 61 shows we have listened to feedback from local residents who have requested the reinstatement of a bus service to areas of Boney Hay not served for a lengthy period.
“The successful collaboration between stakeholders showcases the positive outcomes that can be achieved when local operators and bus operators work together to provide valuable bus services, improve accessibility and reduce reliance on the car.”
What about improved services in the evening for Rugeley
Use it or lose it folks. The no 60 bus now going back late from Lichfield to Cannock is particularly good and saves getting an expensive taxi for the journey.
