LICHFIELD Hockey Club’s men bounced back from a midweek defeat with a 9-2 win over struggling Leamington Khalsa.

The city side opened an unassailable lead thanks to a Ben Walton hat-trick, a brace from Matthew Cooper and goals from Chris Gardner, Josh Smith, Adam Geldard-Williams and Corey Frost.

It looked like things could get even worse for the visitors when disciplinary issues saw them down to ten players – but they managed to grab some consolation with two strikes to prevent Lichfield from earning a clean sheet.
