After Chasetown FC’s midweek defeat ended any hopes of a play-off spot, there was nothing to play for in this final league game for the Scholars.
Lincoln midfielder Gary King tested Curtis Pond in the opening 15 minutes with a long range effort which was easily gathered.
In the 37th minute a Simon Brown corner was headed goalwards by Henry Eze and King headed off the line.
A typical end of season game saw goal chances limited and a deflected Marco Adaggio effort was parried by Ryan Musselwhite.
The hosts had one eye on the play-offs which gave Chasetown more time on the ball and a Stan Mugisha shot from 20 yards struck a defender and resulted in a corner kick.
Lincoln pushed forward late on and ten minutes from time Matt Cotton capitalised on a Chris Slater error but was denied by a low Pond save.
In the final minute, Rob Norris almost pinched the points for the hosts but for a brilliant save from Pond at his near post.
Eze almost won the visitors the game in stoppage time with a mazy run before teeing up George Washbourne who struck the crossbar with Musslewhite beaten.
