But now we need your help to make sure these publication continue to survive and thrive.
It’s easy in a digital age to assume that news is free. However, the cost of running our website and printing the paper has to be covered.
We’ve been fortunate to have the support of amazing advertisers, but there’s so much more we could do to create a sustainable future for your local publication.
More people want to read our website and pick up the newspaper than ever before – and our distribution points are always wanting even more copies of The Lichfield and Burntwood Independent.
But the only way we can do that is to increase revenue and attract more volunteers – and that’s where you can help.

The Lichfield & Burntwood Independent is free to pick up from our partner pick-up locations, but even if only a quarter of the people reading the paper donated £1 every fortnight, we would be able to not only ensure the long-term future of the publication, but also be able to invest in even more copies and content. The QR code on page 2 of every edition of the newspaper provides an easy way to donate £1 by debit/credit card or using an electronic wallet, or a one-off donation can be made using the link above or via payment direct to our bank account.
